Irish Referral Agency is an Irish-owned and a private caregiver referral agency founded in 2017.  We service San Francisco, Daly City, Pacifica, Colma, South San Francisco, Brisbane, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Carlos, and San Mateo.  Our goal is to expand further.

At IRA, we match potential In-home Caregivers with clients.  Our responsibility is to verify work experience and do a background check.  However, we take it a step further and make sure our clients have peace of mind knowing the potential candidates are fingerprinted and registered Home Care Aides with the State of California (which includes criminal background checks via the Department of Justice / FBI).

It is important to understand that IRA is a recruitment and placement agency for in‑home caregivers.  Once a suitable caregiver is identified, the caregiver becomes an employee of the client.  The client is responsible for complying with state and federal laws, insurance, payroll taxes and employee performance.  We would be in violation of the referral agreement if we were to exercise any control over the caregiver’s hours, wages or working conditions – this is between the client and the caregiver.

The fee is calculated based on the caregiver’s negotiated rate, paid for 26 weeks:

@ 15% for more than 20 hours per week; or

@ 25% 20 hours or less per week

The client pays an upfront percentage of what the caregiver would earn in 26 weeks of work with the client.  26 weeks is merely how the fee is calculated.  It is not a guarantee or a service period.
