We’ll go over the trending scams that are frequently used on seniors according to the California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation (DFPI), as well as go over preventative measures. Arthritis in Older Adults

Arthritis is the leading cause of disability among older adults in the United States due to the aging of the population as well as increases in risk factors such as obesity. In the upcoming decades, arthritis will play a large role in functional independence in older adults. Lifestyle changes today can lessen the impact and improve an affected individual’s quality of life. We’ll go over different ways to reduce triggers and inflammation.

Many older adults don’t sleep well, but getting enough sleep is crucial for you to stay healthy and alert. An ongoing lack of sleep (or poor-quality sleep) increases your risk of health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, memory loss, and more. We’ll go over some common causes of poor sleep, along with tips to get better sleep.

Falling is the leading cause of injury among the 65+ age category, with one in four people potentially sustaining serious falls. The fear of falling becomes more common as people age, even among those who haven’t fallen. We’ll go over risk factors, and common causes of falls. We’ll also cover how balance is affected, along with ways to strengthen your balance.
